Hi, my name is Emilio Chan, I am the founder of this page.
Let me introduce myself and explain why did I start this page.
First of all, I´m a parent of a 5-year-old boy, in his earlier years, my wife and I decided to try to maintain him away from the internet as long as we could, not because of the information but for his eyes.
Our main concern was too much exposure to tablets or screens, in general, will cause damage to his sight.
Then COVID came and we get in a position that we needed to start to allow him more time at the tablet, and then our worries changed, from his eyes to the type and quality of information he was exposed to.
For us, was very natural to put YouTube, for example and then let the algoritm to suggest the next video, but that was no safe enough with our son.
So that’s when we started to learn about more about cybersecurity and we found that there was huge amount of information for companies, but not so much on home and families.
I realized that, eventhoug, I´ve around technology for a good part of my life, I haven´t seen it with this optic.
I am Industrial Engineer, with a master degree on Project Management and I have been studing on digital transformation and cybersecurity for a while.
I am not the most proficency on writing but while I try to compile the most information I can, I while honestly try to do my best to writing skills (I hope I´ll improve).
